Lance J. Richards, SHRM-SCP, is a career HR executive, with significant U.S. and global HR experience. Currently, he is the chief human resources officer for the Town of Avon, located in Colorado at the foot of Beaver Creek Resort.
Prior, he was VP of Innovation for Kelly Services in Detroit. Before that, he was head of Kelly's global HR consulting practice in Singapore. He joined Kelly as head of International HR, accountable for HR across 26 countries and for love r 4000 employees.
Earlier, he held senior HR roles for Bell Canada, Verizon, and British Telecom. Lance has been teaching coursework for SHRM since 2005 and has delivered over 50 SHRM seminars in over a dozen cities around the world and across the U.S.
Lance has been involved as a Lead Subject Matter Expert for three editions of one of SHRM's certification preparation courses and as a lead author for the second edition of the current SHRM-CP/SCP preparation materials.
