Application Window for SHRM Labs WorkplaceTech Accelerator Program is Now Open
The WorkplaceTech Accelerator assists in the scaling of growth-stage workplace tech startups to solve critical workplace challenges
ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Today, SHRM Labs, a subsidiary of SHRM, has launched the application process for its annual WorkplaceTech Accelerator program (WTA). Established in 2022, this accelerator supports the growth and scaling of startups dedicated to advancing workplace and future work technologies. As a leader in workplace technology, SHRM Labs developed the WTA to address pressing workplace challenges through collaboration between tech startups and organizational leadership and HR professionals.
The application window is open until November 11, 2024, before the selected cohort convenes on March 4, 2025.
The WorkplaceTech Accelerator is a dynamic 12-week program designed to immerse participants in the evolving needs of workers and workplaces, leveraging SHRM’s extensive resources. Through a combination of in-person and virtual events, participants will gain valuable business development experience and learn how to refine their products for the modern work environment. Graduates of the program will join the SHRM Labs alumni network, gaining continued access to SHRM and SHRM Labs resources and increased visibility within the HR community.
Once accepted, members of the WTA enjoy several benefits. Each startup will have a curated advisory council based on its needs and connection to potential user testing/feedback. In addition, each startup will receive a $200,000 equity investment from SHRM, with potential additional investments dependent on achieving milestones. And finally, each organization will enjoy a sponsored presence at the SHRM Talent Conference & Expo 2025 in Nashville as well as the SHRM Annual Conference & Expo 2025 in San Diego.

Participation criteria includes:
Be incorporated as a for-profit company
Have a cohesive team and a well-developed business plan
Has a fully developed product in the market
Solution has the potential to revolutionize the workplace and the future of work
Can commit to the full program (March 4- July 2)
