Emmy-Award Winning Actor Jason Sudeikis Announced as Main Stage Speaker at SHRM Annual Conference & Expo 2025
Sudeikis to Join the World’s Largest HR Conference in San Diego for a Conversation on Civility, Positivity, and Leadership
ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Today, SHRM, the trusted authority on all things work, workers and workplace, is excited to announce Emmy-winning actor, comedian, writer, and producer Jason Sudeikis as the Opening Main Stage speaker at SHRM25 Annual Conference and Expo, held June 29 through July 2, 2025 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, CA and virtually.
Most recently, Sudeikis starred as buoyant optimist Ted Lasso in the widely popular Apple TV+ series he co-created. Its first season was honored with the prestigious Peabody Award “for offering the perfect counter to the enduring prevalence of toxic masculinity, both on screen and off, in a moment when the nation truly needs inspiring models of kindness.” He frequently speaks about the importance of fostering a positive workplace culture, overcoming mental health stigmas, and authentic leadership.
Sudeikis will sit down for a fireside chat with Betty Thompson, SHRM-SCP, Chair of the SHRM Board of Directors. “Jason Sudeikis's award-winning portrayal of Ted Lasso took the world by storm and redefined leadership—not through authority or ego, but through civility, empathy, optimism, and a belief in others,” shared Thompson. “This is a powerful reminder that true leaders are accountable for their actions. By fostering trust, owning their decisions, and demonstrating integrity, they inspire others to do the same. SHRM members and HR professionals will be treated to an uplifting and engaging session full of humor and actionable insights to bring back to their workplaces, empowering them to lead with both accountability and purpose.”
SHRM25 promises unparalleled value for attendees, offering insights on cutting-edge HR innovations, regulations, workplace trends, and leadership strategies. Sudeikis’ appearance will set the tone for dynamic sessions spanning topics like AI integration, pay transparency, employee experience, and talent acquisition.
