Taylor’s keynote address will call on HR to rise above the noise, gain a wider perspective, and lead with clarity, courage, and vision.
ALEXANDRIA, Va. – SHRM, the trusted global authority on all things work, workers, and the workplace, today announced Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., President & CEO of SHRM, will be a featured speaker at SHRM’s Annual Conference and Expo (SHRM26) with an empowering keynote address on June 18. This year's conference is taking place in Orlando, Florida and virtually June 16 through June 19 at the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, FL.
Taylor’s keynote address will call on HR to rise above the noise, gain a wider perspective, and lead with clarity, courage, and vision. He will reflect on the fact that HR's role and purpose are evolving in real time as technology and economic shifts reshape work itself. HR leaders must step up to reengineer how work gets done today and who does it, taking back their rightful place as “Chief Work Officer.” In his keynote, he will ask leaders to seize the moment to reorient the profession. Through powerful workplace stories, he will deliver a defining call to action: We have the knowledge to forge a new path, but do we have the courage?
“This year, HR professionals stand at the crossroads of transformation, where technology and economic shifts demand we rethink how work happens and who leads it,” said Taylor. SHRM26 is our opportunity to step forward as Chief Work Officers, shaping the future of the profession. As we share real workplace stories and innovative strategies, I urge every HR leader to move beyond what we know. We have the knowledge to forge a new path, but do we have the courage to lead the way? By embracing innovation and bold strategies, we can elevate HR’s impact, transforming workplaces and society for the better.”
Taylor's address will set the tone for dynamic sessions spanning topics like AI integration, pay transparency, employee experience, and talent acquisition.
