SHRM Members Mobilize to Urge End to Government Shutdown

Through SHRM’s Advocacy Action Center, nearly 1,000 SHRM Members have already contacted their lawmakers, urging them to act swiftly to restore stability for workers, workplaces, and families.
This shutdown is not an abstract policy debate — it affects every person, organization, and community that relies on federal funding. SHRM research shows that up to 860,000 federal employees are being furloughed each day, and nearly half of HR professionals report that their organizations were unprepared for this disruption.
