SHRM State Councils Convene in Washington to Meet with Federal Lawmakers
Representatives from SHRM state councils in Alabama, Washington D.C., Florida, Maryland, Montana, New Jersey, Virginia, and Utah convened in Washington, D.C., on April 22 to engage directly with their congressional delegations on key workplace policy priorities. During these meetings, participants highlighted the importance of the Education-to-Employment (E2) Initiative, the evolving role of artificial intelligence (AI) in the workplace, and the growing need for comprehensive caregiving support.
This event marked the second of two SHRM D.C. Affiliate Joint Advocacy Days, reinforcing SHRM’s commitment to advancing policy solutions that support both employers and the workforce.
