SHRM Urges NY Governor to Back Bill Helping Those with Disabilities
SHRM recently wrote to New York Gov. Kathy Hochul urging her to sign legislation that would establish a task force to promote the employment of people with disabilities. One of the most effective and least-utilized solutions to labor gaps is untapped talent pools: workers who may not be in the standard consideration set when businesses seek talent, due to perceived barriers related to one or more demographic characteristics.
