SHRM26 Brings Together 20,000 Workforce Leaders to Shape the Future of Work
An estimated 20,000 HR professionals, business leaders, policymakers, and workforce experts gathered in Orlando, Florida, and virtually for SHRM26 representing organizations and industries from more than 70 countries. Throughout the week, SHRM convened leaders to address the issues shaping the future of work, including artificial intelligence, workforce development, caregiving, and workplace policy.
SHRM President and CEO Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., SHRM-SCP, hosted a fireside chat with EEOC Chair Andrea Lucas, exploring workplace policy, the evolving regulatory landscape, and the important role HR leaders play in helping organizations navigate a changing world of work.
Emily M. Dickens, Chief Administrative Officer of SHRM, moderated a fireside chat with Henry Mack, Assistant Secretary for Employment and Training at the U.S. Department of Labor. Their conversation focused on skills-first hiring, workforce development, apprenticeships, and strengthening the connection between education and employment.
A key policy conversation during SHRM26 was a listening session moderated by SHRM CHRO Jim Link, SHRM-SCP, featuring EEOC Chair Andrea Lucas and Commissioner Brittany Panuccio. The discussion provided HR professionals with an opportunity to engage directly with Equal Employment Opportunity Commission leadership on emerging workplace issues and the evolving regulatory environment.
SHRM26 also hosted the Caregiving Summit 2.0: Aligning Strategy and Public Policy to Support Working Caregivers. Moderated by Wendi Safstrom, President of the SHRM Foundation, the summit brought together employer leaders and former members of Congress Ron Klein and Larry Bucshon to discuss the business and policy solutions needed to better support working caregivers.
By convening more than 16,000 attendees from over 70 countries, SHRM26 served as a global forum for workforce leaders to share ideas, address challenges, and help shape the future of work.
