Webinar Explores How Major Leave Laws Overlap and Differ
Today’s workplace leave and accommodation rules are closely connected. Employers often need to manage multiple legal requirements at the same time under laws such as the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA). Each law has different rules and responsibilities, which can make compliance difficult.
On April 29 at 4 p.m. ET, SHRM Government Affairs, in partnership with J. J. Keller & Associates Inc., will host a webinar titled “How Leave Laws Connect, Overlap, and Differ: Making Sense of ADA, PWFA, FMLA, and More.”
This webinar is part of a series designed to give HR leaders practical tools and clear guidance to handle complex policy and compliance challenges. It is open to both SHRM members and nonmembers. The session will help HR professionals better understand how these laws interact. It will cover common situations such as pregnancy-related accommodations, medical leave requests, and evolving employee needs.
Subject-matter experts will share practical advice and strategies to help organizations make confident decisions. Participants will learn how to improve leave management processes, better support employees, and stay compliant as workplace laws continue to change.
