Membership Advisory Council (MAC)

The Membership Advisory Council (MAC) serves as an interface between the volunteer leaders and the SHRM Board of Directors. The MAC is composed of one elected representative from each of the Regional Councils. The MAC provides input from the membership through the regional councils to the board and feedback from the board to the membership, back through the regional councils; and provides operational input to SHRM to ensure optimum service/support to and from the volunteer leadership.

  • Randy is currently President of Chase Performance Group, LLC an Executive Coaching and Leadership Development firm focusing on enabling individuals, teams, and organizations to increase performance and reach their full potential. 
  • He is an ACC ICF certified coach that has coached a wide range of corporate and non-profit organizations leaders and teams. Additionally, he has facilitated workshops and conducted organizational development work to help organizations to develop their leadership bench strength, improve individual and team performance, and better on-board employees and leaders. 
  • Additionally, he is the Immediate Past State Director, CT SHRM Council and Adjunct Professor at Sacred Heart University (SHU) in the Master of Art in Human Relations program.  
  • Randy conducts Pro Bono coaching for two non-profit organizations (The Honor Foundation (Coaching Tribe Advisory Board) and Stand Beside Them (Board VP and Head of Governance)) focusing on coaching transitioning veterans.
  • Throughout his military and corporate career, Randy has coached and mentored a wide variety of organizational leaders and supported cultural change initiatives.

  • Prior to starting TRC Staffing Services and TRC Professional Solutions in 2000, Elliott worked for 6 years, lastly as a Regional VP with one of the world’s largest staffing firms. 
  • TRC is a recruiting and staffing firm specializing in office, skilled manufacturing, HR, finance and manufacturing management positions.

  • John is the Director of Benefits Services at Brigham Young University (BYU), a large, private, non-profit university. He has been working in the HR field for 16 years. 
  • John has served for the past 10 years on the board of the Human Resources Association of Central Utah. He has served as Membership Director, Treasurer Elect, President Elect, President and Past President. On the Utah SHRM State Council he has served as State  Director Elect, State Director and is currently serving as the Immediate Past State Director.
  • In addition to his SHRM volunteer service, John has served on the employer advisory council with the Utah Antidiscrimination and Labor Division and joined with other higher education HR professionals in Utah to establish a local chapter of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR). 
  • John has a master's degree in Public Administration from Brigham Young University. He holds several HR related certifications including SHRM-SCP.

With 20 years of experience in the luxury hospitality field, Mandy has led the human resource departments of some of the most beautiful resorts in Colorado and Hawaii, including her current role as Director of Human Resources for Destination Residences Hawaii on Maui and the big island of Hawaii. 

  • Mandy is the 2014 recipient of the SHRM Foundation Susan R. Meisinger Fellowship for Graduate Study.  On July 15, 2017, she graduated from Walden University earning a Master of Science in Human Resource Management with a concentration on integrating functional and strategic human resource management.
  • She has held several SHRM volunteer leadership roles within three different chapters and two states, including chapter president for High Country HR Association (HCHRA), public relations director for Boulder Area HR Association (BAHRA) and Colorado State Council Certification Director.  Mandy has served on the SHRM Hawaii board of directors as the Maui District Educational Foundation Representative, State Council Membership Co-Director, Vice President Supporting the Professional (STP), State Council Director, and   currently serves as Vice President, Advancing the Profession. 
  • Her work experience as an HR practitioner encompasses leadership roles for organizations with less than one hundred employees to large organizations with several thousand employees.  Mandy has led the HR department of organizations in mature, start-up, and rapid-growth business cycles.  She has experience working for large publicly held companies, including Vail Resorts, Inc., where she worked independently at the local level; serving as a member of the corporate HR leadership team.  Her work for privately owned companies includes roles where she partnered with a professional employer organization (PEO) to roles where everything HR, payroll, and benefits are accomplished internally.
