Learning and development (L&D) executives, or those who oversee their organizations’ L&D functions, are increasingly crafting innovative strategies to ensure their workforces are equipped with the skills needed to thrive. Additionally, with many of these executives also tasked with the critical responsibility of developing their organizations’ leadership and management teams, they play a pivotal role in shaping the future of their organizations. This research explores L&D executives’ top priorities for workforce and leadership development in the year ahead, the challenges they face, and their expectations for the evolving L&D and workplace landscape. Drawing on insights from 178 L&D executives across a range of industries and organization sizes, this research sheds light on how these leaders are addressing skills gaps and building forward-thinking strategies to prepare their organizations for the future.
