The third year of our benchmark research examines employee experience perceptions from the perspectives of both employees and managers, with a focus on hourly shift workers. Compared to the 2021 and 2022 studies, the 2023 results reveal closing gaps in perceptions on how well employers are meeting the employee needs on many fronts. However, greater alignment doesn’t mean a better experience. Our findings show the persistent challenges that contribute to poor employee experiences remain. By capturing sentiments from dissatisfied employees, we provide insights that bolster the need for employers to take action to improve.
This year’s study offers an urgent call to action for employers to invest in modern workforce management solutions, integrated with operational communications, to meet the demands of employees while optimizing operational performance and meeting business and financial goals.
