Theresa Adams, SHRM-SCP, is a seasoned human resources professional with more than 30 years of experience supporting organizations across manufacturing, retail, and nonprofit sectors.
As a Lead Specialist at SHRM, she is known for her pragmatic, results-oriented approach, delivering both tactical and strategic guidance to members through the Ask an HR Advisor service. In her current role, Theresa leads a team of Knowledge Advisors and is recognized for her collaborative style and strong foundation in HR best practices. She is passionate about empowering others to achieve meaningful business outcomes through effective human capital management.
Theresa holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland and SHRM specialty credentials in California HR Law, Talent Acquisition, U.S. Employment Immigration, and Workplace Investigations, along with the Veterans at Work Certificate and People Manager Qualification (PMQ).
Outside of work, she enjoys kayaking and hiking outdoors.
