​Alexandria, Va.— The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) announced today that LaQuenta Jacobs, chief diversity officer at XPO Logistics Inc.; Alicia Petross, chief diversity officer at The Hershey Company; and Pedro Jaime Torres-Díaz, office managing principal at Jackson Lewis P.C., will speak on Tuesday, Oct. 25, on the main stage at the SHRM INCLUSION 2022 conference, which will be held virtually and in person in San Diego Oct. 24-26.

In a panel discussion titled "The Future and Sustainability of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion," moderated by SHRM CHRO Jim Link, SHRM-SCP, the three speakers will discuss how to cultivate and evolve diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) strategies and how to ensure sustainability in talent recruitment, retention methods and employee engagement.

"I am excited to welcome LaQuenta, Alicia and Pedro to the SHRM INCLUSION 2022 main stage to discuss diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace," said Link. "Each panelist will offer insight into their organization's DE&I journey and strategies in helping to shape an inclusive workplace culture and workplaces that work for all."

LaQuenta Jacobs provides leadership and advocacy for diversity, equity and inclusion in the cultural development of XPO's workplace. She initially joined the company as head of human resources for the last mile logistics business unit. Jacobs has more than two decades of experience leading organizational development initiatives for global public companies and has championed inclusivity in senior HR roles with Delta Air Lines Inc., The Home Depot Inc., Turner Broadcasting Systems Inc. and Georgia-Pacific Corporation, among others.

Alicia Petross, a member of the Human Resources Leadership Team since 2015, leads the development and execution of Hershey's Pathways Framework, delivering diversity, equity and inclusion strategies. She partners with key internal and external leaders to develop more innovation and robustness in Hershey's global climate and inclusion programming. Externally, Petross expands Hershey's partnership framework and represents the company in key industry commitments, including Paradigm for Parity, CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion, the National Organization on Disability's Look Closer Campaign, and Financial Literacy for All.

Pedro Jaime Torres-Díaz is the office managing principal of the Miami, Fla., office and a principal in the San Juan, Puerto Rico, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. He is also a past president of the Hispanic National Bar Association. His practice concentrates on employment discrimination and wage and hour counseling and litigation exclusively on behalf of employers, both in Florida and Puerto Rico.

INCLUSION 2022

Attendees will learn the latest strategies and tactics needed to boldly address today's inequities and lead workplaces into a better tomorrow.

INCLUSION 2022 will bring together professionals from a range of industries and backgrounds to cover topics ranging from unconscious bias and emotional intelligence to empathy and allyship.
