ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Today, SHRM, the trusted authority on all things work, workers, and the workplace, announced President Joe Biden, 46th President of the United States of America, will take the SHRM25 Main Stage on Wednesday, July 2, for an exclusive conversation on leadership, workforce transformation, and the future of work. SHRM’s Annual Conference and Expo will be held in San Diego, California and virtually from June 29-July 2.
President Joe Biden will be on the SHRM25 Main Stage where he will provide his unique perspective as a world leader and his steadfast commitment to remain a voice for the American people after leaving the Oval Office. Both former President Bill Clinton and former President George W. Bush were keynote speakers in previous SHRM annual conferences.
At age 29, Joe Biden became one of the youngest Americans ever elected to the United States Senate, representing Delaware and playing a leading role in addressing some of our nation’s most important domestic and international challenges. This includes writing the Violence Against Women Act. Joe Biden represented Delaware for 36 years before becoming the 47th Vice President and then the 46th President of the United States.
As Vice President, he worked alongside President Obama to secure passage of the Affordable Care Act and oversee the then-largest economic recovery plan in history. After being sworn in as the 46th President in 2021, he signed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act into law. The President's policies have shifted the focus in HR towards a more proactive approach to employee rights, wellbeing, and creating a more inclusive workplace for all.
"SHRM is honored to welcome President Joe Biden to the SHRM25 Main Stage at such a critical time for the world of work. As workplaces continue to evolve in response to economic shifts, AI advancements, and workforce transformation, his perspective as a global leader will add valuable insight to our ongoing dialogue,” said Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., SHRM-SCP, President and CEO of SHRM. “At SHRM, we are committed to empowering HR professionals with the knowledge and resources to shape inclusive, forward-thinking workplaces. I know this will be a compelling conversation as we navigate the future of work together.”
President Biden will join hundreds of other speakers at SHRM25 who will engage in the best workplace practices, discuss new data surrounding the advancements of AI, and explore the latest trends supporting healthier workplace cultures.
