Madelyn Mackie is the career activator! David Simmons is a senior HR leader, speaker, and strategist with a forward-thinking approach to the people profession. As Senior People Business Partner at Bio-Techne, he leads the San Jose site HR function and supports global commercial and legal teams, driving organizational design, performance management, coaching, and a company-wide belonging strategy. David partners closely with executives to align talent strategy with business outcomes and strengthen culture and performance. His background spans Amazon operations and HR roles across multiple regions. He also serves as Board Secretary for Oakland School for the Arts and Conference Chair for SHRM NorCal.
Shari Dunn is Managing Director at Gallagher and the founder of CompAnalysis, a leading Bay Area compensation management consulting firm specializing in broad-based pay plans. She brings decades of compensation expertise shaped by roles at McKinsey & Co., Deloitte, Bank of America, and other prominent organizations, as well as international compensation work across multiple industries. A recognized speaker and published thought leader on employee compensation, Shari has led workshops for diverse audiences and served as an expert witness in wage and hour litigation. She is the former President of the Northern California Human Resources Association and was honored in 2022 by Consulting Magazine with a Lifetime Achievement Award for Consulting Excellence.
Katiria "Kat" Nunez is an HR and Learning & Development professional specializing in leadership development, performance coaching, and organizational design. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Master of Education in Instructional Design from Western Governors University and is a SHRM-CP and Certified CliftonStrengths Coach. Kat leads L&D and talent management in the construction industry, designing programs for a complex, mixed workforce where building a coaching culture requires both strategy and grit. Her work spans instructional design, competency development, and building the systems and skills that help managers lead people, not just manage tasks. She is also an active volunteer with SHRM NorCal.
