The Data Management Specialist will oversee data production for the assigned department and will ensure the quality of the data produced.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversees and manages assigned project and/or departments data, ensuring it meets predetermined contractual or policy requirements.
- Serves as the point person for data-related tasks on an assigned project.
- Coordinates the production of data by the assigned department and by other data developers.
- Reviews customer requests for quotes and statements of work and compares these with the contractual data requirements list (CDRL).
- Works with other departments to estimate the total data costs to meet CDRL requirements.
- Reviews prepared data to ensure it is adequate, accurate, and complies with CDRL before it is transferred to the customer.
- Manages the development of program data and ensures that established schedules and budgets are met.
- Fields data-related questions and assists with customer-required process reviews.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of data preparation procedures and requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems or related field required.
- Three years of experience in the data management field required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
