Job Summary:
The Loan Interviewer will interview and counsel clients regarding loan applications, assist with completion of loan documents, inform applicants of lending policy terms and requirements, and finalize and submit applications for approval.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Interviews potential borrowers to gather necessary information to complete lending applications.
- Provides information on and answers questions about lending products and services.
- Counsels and educates potential borrowers on applicable lending policies.
- Organizes and compiles data, documentation, and applications; follows up with borrowers to acquire any missing information.
- Requests or acquires necessary documents such as titles required for loan collateral.
- Performs clerical tasks such as filing, copying, and digitally transmitting documents as required.
- Assists underwriters and closers with the application process when needed.
- Maintains records of adjustments, recalculations, and payments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of lending products and services.
- Ability to explain complicated loan policies and terms in a clear and understandable way.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software program.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma required; Associates degree in related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
