Job Summary:
The Logistician will analyze and oversee the organizations supply chain and the life cycle of assigned products from acquisition through distribution, delivery, and, when necessary, discontinuation.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Communicates with customers and/or support staff to understand customers needs and to ensure those needs are met.
- Coordinates availability and allocation of materials, supplies, and finished products.
- Creates and/or deploys project management tools and systems; implements plans, schedules, and compliance metrics.
- Collects or oversees the collection of product and project performance data; analyzes data for further product development and improvement.
- Identifies opportunities to reduce costs, production time, and other areas lacking efficiency; recommends improvements.
- Prepares reports and presents project plans, progress, and results.
- Performs other related duties, as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of acquisitions and distribution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Business Management, Supply Chain or related field.
- Five years related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
