He is a highly effective strategic partner and employment law subject-matter expert, with extensive experience in global business environments, including Fortune 100, 500, and 1000 organizations. Tom has worked across diverse industries, including automotive, consulting, government defense, higher education, and medical devices.
A dynamic and highly rated SHRM instructor, Tom has contributed to several SHRM HR Magazine articles and authored "Long-term International Assignment: Key Policy, Compensation, and Benefit Considerations" for the Global HR Practitioner Handbook, Volume 2. Currently, he provides guidance, consulting, and problem resolution for all human resources-related issues at Harvard University.
Tom holds a Juris Doctor (JD) in Law from Western Michigan University Law School and a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication from Eastern Michigan University. He is a licensed attorney and holds the SHRM-SCP certification as well as a Six Sigma Green Belt.
